Geography of Wine

Hello! My name is Justine and I am enrolled in John Boyer's GEOG 4054 Geography of Wine class. I am pretty much inexperienced when it comes to wine. I have purchased a bottle or two in the past but not with much knowledge about what kind of wine I was really purchasing. I understand the obvious contrast of taste between white and red wines and the commonly known facts about wine but that is about as far as my understanding goes. I am hoping that with the help of taking this course and keeping up with this weekly blog, I will be able to expand my knowledge about wine and see my progression of understanding through this blog.
