Shop review: Deep ruby. Wild aromas of cassis, dark chocolate, smoky herbs and earth, along with a touch of incense. Then supple and pliant, offering juicy redcurrant and bitter cherry, smoke and licorice flavors. The sappy finish lingers with good authority and echoes the smoky note.
My review: The nose was rich, like thick leather and cherries. It was a unique combination of smoky and velvety smooth on the palate. This was one of the more enjoyable wines I sampled during the tasting.
